Add Jove Content to Canvas Course Modules Using Jove Platform
Today, I will guide you on how to add Jove content to your Canvas. This guide outlines the steps for selecting and incorporating educational videos into your course modules.
Go to jove.instructure.com
1. Start Adding Jove Content in Canvas
This walkthrough shows how to add jove content within your Canvas course modules effectively. Click the plus button to open the content type menu
2. Select Content Type to Add
, then select External Tool as the content type to add.
3. Choose JoVE Videos Content
Select the JoVE Videos option to access your video content for inclusion in the course module.
4. Open Course Modules in Jove
Open the course modules section in the Jove application to continue managing your content.
5. Switch to Jove Website
Navigate to the Jove website to access additional resources and content for your course.
6. Acknowledge Information Prompt
Click the Got It button to acknowledge the information and proceed with content selection.
7. Access Biology Section
Open the Biology section to view courses related to biological sciences and cell biology.
8. Open Scientific Inquiry Course
Select the Scientific Inquiry course to explore relevant educational videos and materials.
9. Select Scientists in Action
Choose the content or video you want to add into your Canvas, Click the link to access detailed content or additional resources related to the selected video.
10. Add Video to LMS
Add the selected video to your learning management system to make it available for your course.
11. Return to Account Dashboard
After clicking on add to LMS, it will redirect you to on Canvas screen to continue managing your course modules with the URL as you can see on the screen
12. Add Item to Course Module
Click Add Item to include the selected video or content into your course module for students.
13. Publish Added Content
Publish the newly added item to make it visible and accessible to students in your Canvas course.
