Using JoVE’s Playlist Library

JoVE’s Playlist Library offers you our curated playlists which contain videos mapped to popular textbooks, exams and courses! The Playlist Library contains 4 sections and here’s how to make the best use of each playlist in the library  -

 

4 sub-sections of playlist library

  • JoVE Collections

    Offers you our chapters from JoVE Core and JoVE Business as playlists. Clicking on a collection opens the playlist in the playlist library in an aside as shown below. 

  • Courses

    Offers you our JoVE videos aligned with popular courses like ‘Introduction to Biology’ and ‘General Chemistry’ as playlists. Clicking on a course opens the playlist in the playlist library in an aside as shown below. 

  • Exam Prep

    We have curated playlists that are aligned with popular exams like ‘Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)’ and ‘National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)’ in the Exam Prep section.

    Clicking on an exam ‘Section’ opens an aside that contains ‘Sub-sections’ of that exam’s section. You will find one or more playlist(s) aligned with each sub-section. Clicking on the playlist opens it in the same place.

  • Textbook Collections

    This section contains JoVE videos (under playlists) mapped to chapters of popular textbooks like ‘Campbell Biology’ and ‘Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology’.

    Clicking on the textbook opens an aside that playlist(s) aligned with each chapter of the textbook. Clicking on the playlist opens it in the same place.

 

For each playlist in our library you can -

  • 'Add to My Playlist'

    Allows you to add a playlist from the library to your My Playlist. Clicking on this button will take you to the Playlist Builder where you can edit the playlist (add, remove or rearrange videos) as you like.

  • 'Import CC to LMS'

    Allows you to download and LMS compatible CC file which allows you to upload the entire playlist at once to your course. Learn more about how to use a CC file in an LMS here.

  • 'Preview'

    Opens the playlist in a full page playlist preview in a new tab.

  • 'Copy Link'

    Copies a link to the full page playlist preview of that playlist.
